Novice Debate
The debate team at UTSA is dedicated to maintaining vibrant novice participation. Whether novices go to one tournament in their entire career or stay on the squad and grow into competitive, varsity level debaters, we believe that bringing new people into debate is beneficial both to our squad and to the wider community. This means that even if you have no debate experience, you are welcome and encouraged to join the team. Send an email to debate@utsa.edu if you’re interested.
